This course examines the life and spiritual contributions of this remarkable saint and Doctor of the Church. By way of Teresa’s principal works - her Life, The Way of Perfection, and The Interior Castle - we will uncover some of the foundations of her spiritual experience and spiritual theology. From these we will also consider her vocation as mystic and reformer, and how she addressed the needs of the sixteenth-century Church in Spain.
