This course serves as the introductory course to
the field of Christian Spirituality studies and will introduce students to the
basic definitions and research methods of the academic discipline. The course
will also introduce students to a broad survey of primary figures within the
Christian tradition and will learn how to appropriately read and evaluate
primary texts. Finally, this course will help to frame how Christian
spirituality can be used to address and respond to contemporary issues and
challenges in the Church and society.
