A systematic and critical study of the central Christian belief in Jesus
as the Christ. The study explores the New Testament basis for this
belief and conciliar developments of Christological doctrines, and
attempts to retrieve critically these traditions in order to mediate
them to contemporary faith experiences. Also, included in the study are
representative contemporary Christologies. (Prerequisite: ordinarily
taken subsequent to the Synoptic Gospels.)
