An examination of the mystery of salvation as ritualised and enacted through the course of the church’s calendar of feasts and seasons. Historical, liturgical, and pastoral sources will be explored with a particular emphasis given to the current Roman Catholic calendar. This course will also introduce and explore principles of intercultural liturgy. In addition, the relationship between popular religiosity and the liturgy will be examined with reference to the Church’s calendar.
