A systematic study of the reality of church and of ministry in the
church. The method of the course will involve critical examination of
important historical models and visions of church and ministry in
biblical, patristic, magisterial and conciliar sources. The purpose of
the course is to assist participants in the development of their own
ecclesiology and theology of ministry and Pastoral Office especially as
these are experienced in the environment of the Southwest United States.
Issues treated relate to Christology (TS 7311) (especially
Soteriology), Eschatology, Elements of Mission (TS 7220), and Ecumenism
(TS 7223), Church Law (PS 7320) and Theology of Ministerial Priesthood
(TS 7236).
