Team-taught by faculty members, led by Fernando Velázquez

This course assists students (non-Hispanic or even Hispanic) who do not have a strong experience in Spanish-speaking ministry, but who do have a basic listening comprehension in Spanish. It is not a course in Spanish grammar or writing, although such skills should be enhanced through class participation. Rather it is a course in Spanish pastoral vocabulary, expressions, prayers, and gestures associated with typical pastoral situations in Hispanic ministry. The principal language and culture to be learned will be Mexican Spanish, but other terminology and phrases from other Latin American nationalities will be taken into account. The course will include practice in typical pastoral encounters.
